“Our concept started with my love of modern and clean lines. Our house is very contemporary so we wanted something that would flow with the house and our brand. Our brand is very clean, simple yet elegant so the colour palette is very neutral and clean with lots of white and varying tones of grey. We wanted an impact piece to greet people as they walked into the space so we decided to keep the branding consistent and use the same image we do in our magazine ads and front page of our website.

We had a budget of about $5000 for the whole room so we had to be thrifty in some places but spent quality money on long-term pieces such as the large furniture and lighting fixture. We also chose those to be quite neutral in shape and colour so that just by changing the accessories, we can constantly update the entire room without spending a fortune every few years. The pieces were both custom, store bought and home-made.”
