Hmmmm… how can I even start today? I could say that Jody is incredible and talented and has fierce style, but you guys already know that. I could say that her pictures and lighting techniques will make you go gaga, but you know that too. As much as I knew those things about Jody, what I didn’t know about until I met her was her gorgeously pure heart. She reminds me of the girl next door who can keep all your secrets. The big sister who you can trust with anything and know it’s there for the safe keeping. The friend who’s got your back, and you’ve got hers no matter what comes your way. She is a women with unending commitment to the Lord and to her husband Zach and that right there is why I adore this woman. Those relationships come first for her and I admire her deeply for it.
Her heart for the photography community and her stand for Marriages is what drew her name back to my mind over and over when we were praying about speakers. Yes, she is an incredible business woman, yes her photographs make me swoon, but her heart, her heart is what captivated me. Her heart is what I wanted all of you to get the chance to know. And over the 4 days at the Conference this coming fall, I guarantee you will walk away loving her as much as we have come to.

What is your favorite thing to do on a free afternoon?
Read a great fictional book by one of my favorite authors, Karen Kingsbury!
What is a random fact about you?
I want to meet Justin Bieber one day. In person. Bring it on.
How did you get into Photography & Design?
I have always loved to shoot ever since I was a young girl. I always had a camera with me and to this day my favorite thing to shoot is moments. I love being able to look back on times in my life and remember them through images
What do you wish someone would’ve told you when you first started out?
Yes, it’s normal to change your pricing every five minutes for the first 2 years
What is your dream job or dream client to work with?
To shoot Justin Bieber =D Ok, ok, seriously… I would like to shoot a president of the United States (one who I respect and admire). Shooting their life for a day would be the coolest thing. I saw two White House photographers speak at a conference a bit ago and it was amazing to hear their stories on following George W. Bush and Clinton around.
What is your greatest fear?
That I didn’t try hard enough.

What is your favorite part about your job?
Knowing that people value what I do and are willing to pay for it.
What drew you to be a part of the Pursuit 31 Conference?
1) I love Jesus. 2) I love women. 3) I love and respect what Karen Stott is doing. It was a done deal

I paid for half of it already and now I’m saving to pay for the other half but it may be the only time they have one with in driving distance so I’m already saving on air fair, I figured I better not pass it up.

We prayed a ton about the Conference location and seriously God intervened and told us here… I’m open to other places for next year but I have a feeling it will be at Winshape for a while
