I put off buying the Expodisc for months. All the items a photographer can purchase such as software, lenses, cameras, etc can hurt a budget. I try to be wise with my money & not purchase every new toy that catches my eye. I’m sure my husband would appreciate it if I took this approach when I see a new pair of shoes. I finally decided to purchase the expo disc and gave it a trial run at a wedding. I LOVED the results!
The Expodisc is a manual white balance filter. It gives pictures a warmer tone & makes the colors pop. It also corrects the coloring of skin tones. When shooting RAW, the color balance of the temperature can be changed. The Expodisc does that for you. It saves me a ton of time in post processing because the changes are minimal. This tool is well worth the time saved.
Pictures on the left are shot on Auto WB. I don’t like reading directions so it took me a bit to figure it out. For all the anti-direction people I will save you the stress
