Today my heart is all sorts of confused. Thankful, blessed, broken, concerned, hopeful…… I just don’t have words for everything going through my brain.
Without ever knowing it Jen Thompson affected my whole world about 6 years ago. I had just started photography and I joined an online forum…There I was met with crazy comparison, competitive attitudes and awful cliquish criticism. By most everyone, except Jen. Her warm heart and caring smile was different from what was around her… Infectious. And somehow after meeting her I didn’t feel quite like giving up any more. I felt like I “could” when everyone around me said I couldn’t.
Knowing her has always been a blessing… from the first time online, to having her as our family photographer, to all of our convos over the last few years.
Her very being is giving, caring, happy… inspirational. It’s just Jen. And if you’ve met her, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Fast forward to today…
She has been fighting advanced Ovarian Cancer for the past year. Her attitude is convicting to say the least. Her head up… confident and hopeful.
The last round of tests didn’t come back as we had all hoped and prayed. Jen is now seeking treatment that insurance will not cover…. It’s over $63,000! The last I read she had almost $20,000 raised.
We CANNOT give up yet! Give… something… anything… whatever you can. What would you want to see happen if this were you? If these were your boys you were fighting for???
If you can’t give monetarily… share her story… post… post… post! Because someone you know CAN GIVE!!! And Pray! Pray for her and her two boys.
Send some love… blow up her FB wall or send her an email… words can be the best gifts sometimes…
Please watch her story… I knew I had to share it with you all today.

Oh my, this touched my heart. God bless Jen, and heal her. Time, Past Time we CURED CANCER! Beautiful story, beautiful person, thank you Skye for sharing “Her Story”. She is in my prayers, and so is her Family. I believe!
Acts 3:6
Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”… (LIVE)~ JD
Thanks for sharing Skye Hardwick Edmonds, I posted on my wall and made a donation for Jen.
Oh Lord give her a miracle! We will be praying for her and her boys in our home. Your state of mind is half the battle. keep being positive and we will keep praying.
Oh I know this is so hard. In the midst of the doctors, labs, hospitals and tests your focus can so be on the situation around you…hard to keep a heavenly perpective. It is the presence of God you need for the answer and the comfort…also the dollars. I will pray that she is drawn into his presence. I will also pray for his provisions…..To Jen I would say…look down the road and see the lord with out stretched arms…his is your prize, he is your goal…as you go through this don’t let the circumstances take your eyes off of him…believe his report, his word…..believe him…if there was ever a time to do so now would be it! Like Ester If I perish I perish but I will believe…..I don’t speak lightly as I am going through treatment for Breast Cancer….I know the feeling of despair, the heaviness, even the the oppresion that wants to tell you this is it! It is not, that spirit does not run the show….I am praying for your inner man to be strenghtened, that the joy (strength) of the lord is your, that up from your inner being will rise the joy, and that you will see Jesus walking or even caring you……You have the victory because it is his victory that we share in! Bless you!
